Do you know the difference between a Palace and a Castle? Anyone? Okay I'll tell you. It's size!

The Palace of Versailles is literally enormous! If you owned that place you wouldn't even be able to walk through all those rooms in a year. They say that Marie Antoinette and her husband (the king) were executed on the grounds of the estate.

King Louis XVI's rooms were elaborate. Not one inch of space was left undecorated. I much preferred Marie Antoinette's estate (a long walk from the Palace). Her taste was much more elegant and looked more like a home.

Walking back to the car we bought soft serve ice cream! For some reason they piled on Jayden's. It was huge. Lizzy and I had to help him, as the cone fell apart, and it was melting. Mmmm, yummy.

We saw the Eiffel Tower tonight. After it gets dark is the most amazing time to see it. On the hour, the small little bulbs that run up and down the tower flicker on and off. The effect is beautiful, and the only way to describe what it looks like is to say that it sparkles. The Eiffel Tower sparkles!

Fun Fact: Did you know that they were debating tearing it down at one point. The only reason they decided to keep it up was because it had excellent satellite reception.
